Since 1.5.2014 Dr. Kai Grassie heads the division “Corporate Innovation” within the Bosch Home Appliances Group (BSH). In this function he is responsible for radical innovation and pacing technologies, as well as all patent activities within the BSH group. In his previous position, Dr. Grassie worked from January 2006 to May 2014 for Giesecke & Devrient. There he headed the Division “New Business” as general manager until he became CTO for G&D from January 2011 onward. Before Dr. Grassie held several management positions within the Dutch Royal Philips Electronics Group. He started his career there in 1989 within Philips Research, moved on to Philips Lighting and Philips Components before he changed to Philips Semiconductors in 2002. There he was VP for “Technology and Innovation” in the Business Unit “Identification”. From 2003 until his change to Giesecke & Devrient, Dr. Grassie was CEO of “Philips Semiconductors Dresden AG”.Dr. Grassie studied Physics in Dortmund and has a PhD in Theoretical Physics. Until 1989, Dr. Grassie was scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Plasmaphysics in Garching / Munich.
