Phaina GmbH is a young company that grew out of a challenge from the Böllhoff Group.
The desire to provide digital advice for all fasteners of the Böllhoff Group presented a small project team (Niclas, Marcel, Dominik) with a task that ultimately evolved into PHAINA.
The challenge of creating digital product advice for 100,000 different fasteners from over 10 product centres quickly took the team to the limits of the software offerings available on the market.
The first requirement was the large number of questions that would lead to the selection of the best fastener solutions. With 40 questions and a total of over 250 possible answers, it became impossible to manually design the consultation paths.
The second requirement was the independently acting, technologically very differently functioning product centres. In order to design the "one Böllhoff consultation", it would have been very difficult to direct the various stakeholders into a fixed interview path. The problem is that the different questions have different relevance for determining the appropriate products within the respective product centres.
These two challenges gave rise to the PHAINA software, on which several stakeholders (product areas) can even be combined to present a digital product consultation. Over time, an interdisciplinary team has emerged that will revolutionise hybrid sales with scaling digital product advice.
